To add on to what other people said, Xenoblade Definitive Edition is adding a Casual mode and an Expert mode according to the NDA meaning that if you find the game too hard, you can just set it to an easier difficulty .
The difficulty isn’t getting the game over screen, but staying alive while doing damage. I was one of those players, and when I was fighting the major boss before the final boss . I spend a good couple of minutes just healing around and not using chain attacks because someone was bound to die. That was one of the longest boss fights I’ve ever had.
